Brandon James Teal
Brandon James Teal, age 21, of Bakersville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 23, 2008. A native of Yancey County he was the son of Danny Whitson of Burnsville, and Lenae Teal Taylor of Newdale. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Jimmy Mitchell and Lanny Teal. Brandon was a member of Victory Baptist Church and loved playing the guitar.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his maternal grandmother, Linda Tipton of Burnsville; paternal grandparents: Steve and Frances Whitson of Burnsville; great-grandparents: Arlene Whitson of Burnsville, Juanita Garrett of Georgia, Benny Brown of Georgia and Iva Mitchell of Burnsville; a sister, Alaina Brook Whitson, of Burnsville; two brothers: Timothy Paul Taylor of Forest City and Danny Whitson Jr. of Burnsville; nine aunts and three uncles and a special niece, Mary Ferguson also survives.
Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Scot Garland will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. Yancey Funeral Services is serving the Teal family.
